Fall Bash and Silent Auction

Bowie‘s Tavern, 6-8 p.m.

Kick off the Fall with our 4th Annual Casual Silent Auction and Hors d’oeuvres Party. Join us near the bluff and enjoy music with Maggie Brown, food, drinks, and some awesome silent auction packages. $12 advance/$15 at the door. All proceeds go to the restoration of Magnolia Hall.

The Natchez Fall Pilgrimage
October 1-15, 2010
Fall Pilgrimage offers two dozen homes, most of which are not on tour in the spring. The club’s homes on tour are: Brandon Hall, The Gardens, Oak Hill, Rip Rap, Texada, House on Ellicott Hill, and Magnolia Hall. For full details, see www.natchezpilgrimage.com.

Annual Holiday Victorian Luncheon with Casserole and Soup Sale
December 2, 2010, 11:30 a.m., $12
Welcome the holiday season with this event at the beautiful Magnolia Hall. The luncheon features tasty sandwiches, dips, Magnolia Hall’s delicious corn chowder, and delectable desserts. Invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers to come and enjoy. Tickets at club office during its hours. Also, stock your freezer for the holidays with casseroles ($12 and $20) and soups ($5 and $10).

Carriages, Candlelight and Christmas

Magnolia Hall and The Towers

Visit a Natchez family of the 1850s as they prepare for Christmas, with readings, tree decorating, greeting card making, and feasting. Light refreshments will be served with tours starting at 4:30 and 5:45 p.m. Guests then board carriages for a romantic ride to The Towers so see the magnificent displays of costume jewelry and Christmas decoration. (No children under 8 admitted.)

The Natchez Spring Pilgrimage
March 12 - April 16, 2011
The famous Natchez Spring Pilgrimage has been held for over 75 years and is still going strong. Over two dozen homes are on view as well as their gardens at the height of that explosion of blooms for which this city is renowned. The Historic Natchez Tableaux: Scenes of Natchez Past
Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, March 11- April 9, 2011, 8 p.m.
Natchez City Auditorium

This production is a series of historic tableaux reflecting the history of Natchez. Maypoles, steamboats, soirees, polkas, reels, and royalty are some of the features of this year-in favorite of visitors to our city. See www.natchezpilgrimage.com for details.

Preservation Society of Ellicott Hill’s Annual Party for Preservation
April 16, 2011, 6-8 p.m.
Brandon Hall, $45 per person

This event is the highlight of the club’s activities to benefit its preservation efforts. Just after Spring Pilgrimage ends, come out on the Natchez Trace to historic Brandon Hall to enjoy a party, plus tables laden with food, music, the house and grounds, and friends from near and far for one of the loveliest evenings in Natchez.
