Something about Magnolia Hall... The last great mansion built in Natchez before the Civil War. A cannonball from a Union gunboat landed in its kitchen. The 2nd floor holds a Costume Museum of original and reproduction Victorian clothing, including gowns of past Pilgrimage Queens. There's also a display of photographs and an antique doll collection. Something about Ellicott Hill... Named a National Historic Landmark for its architecture. Occupies the site where Andrew Ellicott first raised the American flag in the Lower Mississippi Valley. Home of the man who became the first mayor of Natchez. Home of the pioneer doctor who became the first hospital director in Mississippi. It was the Natchez High School before the War between the States.
